Description

This was an assignment to do a little character sheet. I decided to do something different for me, so I did an anthro character.

Yes, she has the same name as my BloodElf on World of Warcraft. I ran out of creativity by that point. :P

This is the description from my assignment:

Name: Sylfae Whisperhoof
Sex: Female
Age: 18
Home base: The heart of Elderwood

Sylfae is a young Cervidean--she is part human woman and part deer. Her herd has worked to remain secret from humans for generations. She doesn't know anything of them outside of the horrible stories the elders told her when she was a young fawn sitting around the campfire deep in the ancestral home of the Cervideans, Elderwood. Sylfae loved to listen to the elders weave their stories, and even tried to be brave when the stories turned dark. Her natural curiosity grew with her, and soon she was out exploring Elderwood, often shirking her chores or duties as a young cervidean.

Now that she has reached maturity, Sylfae has turned her strange penchant for exploration and adventure into a job as a herd scout--patrolling the perimeter of their lands and reporting anything strange or new. She knows the Elderwood like the back of her hand, and nothing brings her joy like running surefootedly through the trees. Unlike most of her skittish kin, Sylfae doesn't scare easily, which helps her when she encounters new objects or creatures in the wood. She is alone much of her time, and often talks to herself as she patrols. Like many other Cervidean scouts, she is a little socially awkward and often breaks social rules without realizing. Sylfae also has a very short fuse and can lash out with a verbal assault before really thinking about it.

Despite her awkwardness and temper, Sylfae is a loyal friend and her emotions run deep.

As an aside, this all started out with me wanting to draw a faun/satyr, but then reading that, technically, those are all males! I thought I could say "who cares?!" and draw a female faun anyway, but then again, I could try something else. I stayed with the part animal/part human layout and decided to make the animal half a deer. Strangely enough, there *is* a Native American legend about a "deer lady." She's your basic siren-type character, luring men away before killing them (stomping them to death). Sylfae, of course, would never do that... but if I ever write any stories about her, I might tie that in somehow.
